It has been completely worked over and is fully custom and retrofitted with hydraulic disc brakes and a modernized suspension. The exhaust is a crappy old Biturbo from back in the day when you didn't have much else for an option. Eventually I'll put something else on here. The front forks I am told are off a CR80 (but they are too short) or a CRF50 (but they are too long.) They are sized somewhere in between the two and were nearly the same size as the Puch forks to begin with. The triples were almost a direct bolt on, but the sterring stem was the right diameter, but it was too short so I cut the headstock in the frame a little shorter and the same Puch bearing cups were retained. The Puch steering stem wasn't reusble, it was all stripped out on the top and was just a mess. The rear suspension is from a Yamaha R6, with complete shock AND linkage that I had left over from another project. I extended the Puch swingarm to the same geometry of the R6 swingarm amd ,made the shock fit onto the bike, one of the linkage mounting points is actually to the rear and bottom-most engine mounting bolt.
